Author checklist

1. ADD TO YOUR CV

Be sure to add your Oxford Clinical Pschology title to your CV. All titles are peer-reviewed and you deserve credit for the online publication. The standard format is:

Author, book title, Oxford: Oxford University Press, Print publication year. Oxford Clinical Online. Oxford University Press. online publication date

The exact citation can be found by navigating Oxford Clinical Psychology to your title page, and then clicking on the Citation Export button in the top right corner:

  • From here you can copy and paste
  • Email your colleagues
  • Tell your colleagues, friends and family about how to find your title on Oxford Clinical Psychology

2. LINKING

There are lots of different options available to circulate the link to your book on Oxford Clinical Psychology. Why not try including the URL on your email signature? Or perhaps try one of the following to spread the word:

  • Link from your university webpage to your book on Oxford Clinical Psychology, or include a link to your book from your personal webpage or blog
  • If you are an active blogger within your academic community, why not post a comment and link to your book, or to Oxford Clinical Psychology?
  • Is your article relevant to a scholarly topic on Wikipedia? Why not add it to the bibliography for that article?
  • Consider writing a short overview of a ‘hot topic’ in your area. We can host this on the Oxford Clinical Psychology homepage and link to your work from it

3. SHARE YOUR WORK ON YOUR SOCIAL NETWORKS

  • If you belong to social or professional online networks such as Linkedin, Facebook, or Twitter, add the link to Oxford Clinical Psychology to your profile, and consider sending an email to the people in your network group
  • If you keep social bookmarks such as Digg, StumbleUpon, or del.icio.us, add your article to your list (using the Share button, and encourage your colleagues and friends to do the same)

4. USE OUR FREE PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

5. OPPORTUNITIES AT ACADEMIC MEETINGS

Is there an academic meeting coming up that relates to your area of research? Is there an opportunity to create a panel discussion around it? Oxford can help you to set this up. We can send an OUP representative, or help you find a partner in the library world, as well as making your publication free to all participants during the conference. 6. MAKE A NEWS STORY

Is your publication particularly topical or newsworthy? Contact us to talk about sending a press release to mainstream media.
